Background

COMPETITION DAYS:

Thursday, 15th June: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Friday, 16th June: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

 

COMPETITION PLACE:

Chartreuse Saint-André: 194 Avenue du Maréchal-De-Lattre de Tassigny, 33200 BORDEAUX (Bus: 2, 3)

 

 

RULES:

 

Gender-neutral individual competition.

Depending on the number of participants, 2 distinct divisions are offered.

 

Team competition (with a minimum of 3 participants per company to be able to compete).

 

The tournament is played in 9 rounds, Fischer cadence.

Each player has 20 minutes to play his game with an addition of 10 seconds per move played, which is the equivalent of 30 minutes.

 

The winner brings the result to the scorer’s table immediately after the game.

Should there be a tie, the white leader brings in the result. With no result at the end of the round, the result will be counted as double zero.

The team classification is based on the results of the 3 best athletes of each company.

 

Unless otherwise specified in these rules, the rules of the World Chess Federation (WCF) apply.
