RULES:

Women’s team, men’s team and mixed team competitions.

Category OPEN and category over 40 years old.

For the women’s tournament : grouping of the two OPEN and over 40 categories.

 

The organization may decide to group certain categories according to the number of registered teams.

 

A team consists of 2 to 3 players.

Substitutions are not allowed during the match.

 

A match is played in 2 winning sets of 21 points.

Should there be a 3^rd decisive set, this one will be played in 15 points.

Open Men

Phase 1: 5 pools of 4 teams and 3 pools of 3 teams

Phase 2:

The first two play a second group phase with 4 groups of 4 teams. The 1st of each group in the second phase play the semi-finals
Consoling tournament: 3rd of each group in 2 groups of 4 teams. The 4th play together in a group of 5

 

Mixed Open

Phase 1: 5 pools of 4 teams and 3 pools of 3 teams

Phase 2:

The first two play a second group phase with 4 groups of 4 teams. The 1st of each group in the second phase play the semi-finals
Consoling tournament: 3rd of each group in 2 groups of 4 teams. The 4th play together in a group of 5

Men +40

Phase 1: 1 pool of 5 teams and 1 pool of 6. Round robin format.

Phase 2: Teams ranked 1-4 play a playoff phase.

Other teams play a 3-team pool

 

Mixed +40

1 pool 6 teams. Round robin format. Then the ranked teams from 1 to 4 play in the semi-final and final, the other two play a ranking match.

 

Open women

Phase 1: 3 pools of 4 teams and 1 pool of 3 teams

Phase 2: Main tournament: Teams ranked 1st and 2nd play the 1/4 final

Consoling tournament: 1 pool of 4 teams and 1 pool of 3 teams play a ranking tournament.

Unless otherwise specified in these regulations, the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (IVB) apply.
