SPORTS PROGRAMME

We know you are eager to get the details of the sports programme for the European Company Sport Games.
From April 21st onwards, you will find new information online, including :

  • The programme of each day for the individual disciplines;
  • The formulas of each tournament for team disciplines;
  • The practice venues for the disciplines that will occupy several sport sites (beach volleyball, golf, padel and tennis);
  • The list of participants in each event.

We kindly ask you to take note of these elements and to come back to us quickly if your name or that of your team does not appear on these lists… or if, on the contrary, you have more teams listed online than the number of teams you will present on the D-day.

Please contact us by email at ecsg2023@ffse.fr.

Detailed schedules for each event will only be uploaded a few days before the Games.

CATERING

Only a few weeks left to book your meals! Meal booking, a practical and ecoresponsible approach, is available on
the website until May 6th. Make sure you get quality lunches and dinners.

How to book your meals?

  • Download the form
  • Fill in the delegation information
  • Fill in the number of chosen meals per day
  • Send the completed form to ecsg2023@ffse.fr before May 6th, 2023
  • The delegation manager will receive meal tickets for all delegation participants

The form is quick and easy to use and allows you to organise your meals in advance to make the most of the competition!

Only one form per club or company: do not hesitate to contact us to receive the form as a shared document and thus allow employees to fill in their choices themselves.

Why should you book your lunch?

The meal reservation service offered by the Organising Committee guarantees you a quality meal to be enjoyed on site. By ordering your meals in advance, you won’t have to worry about the organisation on site. No waiting around, just exchange your ticket to get your meal.

Prices range from €10 to €16 for lunch, depending on the sports venue. Without prior reservation, a snacking area will also allow you to eat on site.

Note: for disciplines such as hiking or Nordic walking, no snacking option will be available.
Use the meal reservation to facilitate your activities.

Why should you book your dinner?

The Bordeaux region down to the plate!
At Hangar 14, dinner will be served as a buffet, where different stands will offer hot or cold starters, various dishes, and various cheeses and desserts.

And the atmosphere will be great with musical entertainment all evening.

Find all menus and more information on the website.

UKRAINIAN DELEGATION TO THE ECSG 2023

Dear participants of the Bordeaux 2023 European Company Sport Games,

As you know, war has raged in Ukraine for many months. On this occasion, the sport family and that of company sport in particular, were able to show their support for our Ukrainian friends.

With Natalia Omelchuk, President of the EFCS member federation, AII-Ukrainian Physical Culture and Sports Society, we hope to count on a delegation of Ukrainian athletes among the nearly 7,500 participants registered for the European Games in Bordeaux.

As you know, competing in the Games requires financial resources that we cannot, under the present conditions, ask the Ukrainian federation for. The Organising Committee of the Games and the French Federation for Company Sport (FFSE) will be providing registrations and several accommodation packages to Ukrainian
athletes. Nevertheless, additional costs remain for Ukraine to be represented by a strong delegation.

Therefore, we are counting on the solidarity and generosity of the large family of company sport to make a donation that will support the participation of several Ukrainian athletes.

The fund will remain open until May 15th, 2023, and at the end of this period, the money received will be used to cover the participation, transport and accommodation costs of as many Ukrainian athletes as possible.

We thank you for your support of Ukrainian athletes.

Didier Besseyre,
European Federation for Company Sport President

ROAD TO BORDEAUX

Last month, we suggested that you discover Bordeaux and its region through an introduction to oenology organised by the École du Vin de Bordeaux. This month, we’ll be focusing on the Best of Wine Tourism destinations and the historical and discovery tours organised by the Tourism Office.

Attending the European Company Sport Games not only means taking part in the competition in your favourite discipline, but also enjoying the heritage and culture of the host city.

The Best of Wine Tourism destinations will help you discover the Bordeaux vineyards through numerous workshops: discovery tasting, white wine, wine and chocolate, and many others.
Head over to the website for the complete presentation of the workshops.

The Tourism Office offers you historical and cultural discoveries. A bilingual guide will take you to the historic heart of Bordeaux and to the châteaux and vineyards of the city.
All the “ECSG 2023” offers are to be found on the website.

COMMUNICATION FROM THE ORGANISATION

From March 28th to 30th, the French Federation for Company Sport (FFSE) employees and the members of the European Games Organising Committee met in Bordeaux for a workshop to prepare the event.

On the programme :

  • Identification of the off-stage race

    competitions…

With 60 days to go before the launch of the 24th edition, every detail counts and thanks to the commitment of each STAFF member, we can prepare a memorable edition. A big thank you to all of them for their help and participation.

VOICES OF THE PARTICIPANTS

Being able to represent my company and France by playing on the European stage is a true moment of pride for a leisure and recreational athlete like me.

“We heard about the FFSE through my company club, SED, Sport Electrique Dampierre. I work for RTE (Electricity Transport Network) and we formed a team to represent the Electricity and Gas Industries with RTE, EDF and SED, our everyday club.

Being able to represent my company and France by playing on the European stage is a true moment of pride for a leisure and recreational athlete like me.

On the one hand, to switch to competition mode as soon as you enter the hall, and to discover other styles of playing, other nations and other ways of cheering is a great experience, always in a good spirit.

And on the other hand, enjoying the festive programme in the evening, being with participants from all disciplines to enjoy musical entertainment, moments of complicity and get to know each other, it is an unforgettable moment.

Finally, the opening ceremony, which for me is the highlight of the Games, where you can parade and represent your nation like you would at the Olympics, is a great moment, where you carry the blue white and red flag and the name of the company you work for every day.

I am sure that the Bordeaux Games will live up to my expectations, and that France will be worthy of this event!

Go France and SED!”
