This event, called: "On the road to Bordeaux 2023: for a sustainable and responsible company sport", will take place in the morning from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. in the form of round tables. We will focus on the CSR and sustainable development dimensions of "sport and business" events, of which the European Games in Bordeaux in June 2023 should be the model. More than 500 companies, 40 countries and 10 participating European employees are expected.

In the field of sport, the French presidency is emphasizing sport as a lever for transformation and sustainable development, in order to encourage Member States and sports movements to better take into account the challenges of sustainability or social and environmental responsibility. in different sporting activities. As part of our conference, particular attention will be paid to the presentation of the sustainable development approach and model of the Bordeaux Games as well as the ambition of the FFSE and France to organize more sustainable and more inclusive.

Pierre Hurmic, Mayor of Bordeaux:

“The City of Bordeaux is extremely proud to be the host territory for the next European Games for Company Sport in 2023. Sport is a great tool for building and balancing the individual, but also for linking and social cohesion in the city. Our municipal sports policy is based on a key guideline, that of guaranteeing access to sports practices for the well-being and development of all. It also aims to strengthen the influence of Bordeaux by hosting major sporting events. The future European Games of Company Sport admirably make it possible to combine these two main objectives of our action.

But this very beautiful event to come is also that of a new philosophy of deployment on our territory of major international events which must be exemplary and innovative in terms of local societal and environmental impact. I salute the commitment made in this direction by the Fédération Française du Sport Entreprise and I am therefore particularly happy that Bordeaux is hosting this morning of reflection for a sustainable and responsible company sport as well as the contributions it will contribute to the sustainable development approach of the next Games.

I therefore wish a full success to this conference”.
