A festive city

Background

Here, we cultivate the art of (well) living. Bordeaux is the city in France with the most
large number of restaurants per capita. The choice is vast! Places of
haute cuisine, daring addresses, vegetarian snacks, terraces where to taste
tapas with a glass of wine, markets offering regional products …

The art to party!

Having a drink on the terrace, listening to a live concert, dancing in a lively bar or club… Bordeaux nights are full of life and surprises.

On the other side of the Garonne, the Chantiers de la Garonne offers a dining room and a sandy terrace with a breathtaking view of the river. When summer days finally come, you can’t miss the Chez Alriq tavern with its bucolic atmosphere and its musical programming from around the world. To enjoy a glass of Bordeaux (and elsewhere!) Wine, head to one of the city’s many wine bars.

The world wine capital

With its 65 Protected Designations of Origin, the Gironde is the largest wine-growing department in France and its wines are the dream of wine lovers all over the world. The Cité du Vin, 4th most visited museum in France outside Île-de-France, is a unique place for both its spectacular architecture and its cultural offer.

The Cité du Vin was inaugurated in 2016 after three years of work. Its glass and aluminum iridescent wrapping, imagined by Anouk Legendre and Nicolas Desmazières of the XTU agency, houses a unique next-generation cultural center where wine is presented in its cultural, civilizational, patrimonial and universal dimensions.
The place offers a spectacular trip around the world, through the ages, in every culture!
