Coming to Bordeaux for the ECSG

Throughout the year, the city of Bordeaux hosts international sporting events. Everything is therefore implemented to facilitate access no matter where you come from.

STAFF members will welcome you at the train station and at the airport and your pass will be valid after its first use on the day of your arrival.

Bordeaux airport offers more than 120 regular lines serving a total of more than 100 destinations throughout Europe plus numerous possibilities for charter flights. It thus benefits from direct connections with most of the European countries.

In addition, Bordeaux airport has daily connections with 9 of the 10 main European hubs: Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Madrid, Barcelona, London (Gatwick), Munich and Rome.

Huge news: In 2022, the airport will be connected to the tram network which connects the city center and the airport. Participants in the 2023 European Company Sport Games will thus be welcomed by the organization upon their arrival at the airport and benefit from free public transport. One connection every 10 minutes!

The Saint-Jean station located in downtown Bordeaux has become the crossroads of the South West. A total of 33 direct connections per day are possible with Paris, including 5 with Charles de Gaulle Airport. Paris is only 2 hours away from the 2023 European Company Sports Games.

FROM THE STATION OR THE AIRPORT, THE CITY CENTER AND THE

HANGAR 14 WILL ONLY BE 20 MINUTES AWAY

COMMUTING DURING THE EUROPEAN GAMES

Throughout the Games, participants will be able to use the entire Bordeaux Métropole public transport network for free. With 4 tram lines and 79 bus lines, participants will be able to complete all their public transport trips. This objective is important for our organization, which we want to be as eco-friendly as possible.

It is with this in mind that we have selected all official accommodations as well as all sports facilities. Apart from the golf courses and some beach volleyball sites for which specific shuttles will be organized, all facilities are located less than 5 minutes walk from a tram or bus stop. The Hangar 14 is accessible by any tram line.

Moreover, the transport pass offered to each participant will allow you to travel aboard the “BatCub” which connects the two shores of the city by boat throughout the day.

  • Download the TBM app for free
  • Create an account
  • Click on M-TICKET, then enter the activation code that we have sent you, then confirm.

Note: This code is unique and can only be used on one smartphone. Don’t delete the app once you have used the code.

How to use the pass?

This step does not require an Internet connection.

Issues regarding the app

If you have any problems downloading the app and activating your code, you can use public transport with your accreditation.

We will send you an e-mail attesting that you can use public transport while waiting for your accreditation. This way you can go to your hotels and to the Hangar 14, even though you don’t have your accreditation yet.

The attestation is only written in French so that the control staff can understand it.

Some disciplines are served by shuttles. Consult bulletin n°3 or the page for your discipline to find out which shuttle you should go on.
