Cycling course

How to get to the starting point :

  • If you go to the starting point with your own vehicle, you can park near the starting line.
  • If you want to use public transport:
    • Meeting at 8.30 am at the terminus of tram C, stop “Villenave Pyrénées”. A group bike departure will be supervised by the organization’s cars towards the circuit located at 5kms.
    • If you arrive at the meeting point after 8:30 am, you can go directly to the circuit by bike following the signposting that will be set up.

 

RULES:

 

Individual competitions with women’s ranking and men’s ranking.

The participants are divided into 5 age categories. The year of birth determines the age category (not the entire birth date):

 

  • Category A: 18-30 years old – (2005 – 1993)
  • Category B: 31-40 years old – (1992 – 1983)
  • Category C: 41-50 years old – (1982 – 1973)
  • Category D: 51-60 years old – (1972 – 1963)
  • Category E: Over 60 – (born in 1962 and before)

 

The organization may decide to group certain categories according to the number of registered teams.

 

The following events take place:

 

  • Thursday, 15th June : An individual time trial (1 lap of a 9 km circuit). First departure at 10:00 am then departure every minute

Reward ceremony around 12 p.m

  • Friday, 16th June : A road race (6 or 7 laps of 9 km circuit depending on the category)
    • 10h00: Start of the men’s race – categories D and E / 6 laps
    • 10h05: Start of the women’s race – all categories / 6 laps
    • 12h00: Start of the men’s race – categories A and B / 7 laps
    • 12h05: Start of the men’s race – category C / 7 laps

Reward ceremony around 2 p.m

Withdrawal of bibs and transponders with individual signature at the timing tent on Thursday 15/06 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Friday 16/06 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

 

The events are contested on a 9.1 km circuit. The roads are not closed to traffic but traffic is regulated by the organization. Riders are required to drive only on the right lane and to respect the highway code.

 

Unless otherwise specified in these regulations, the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale apply.
